Approval of ₹773.07 Crore for Indore’s MY Hospital and ₹321.94 Crore for Upgradation of Rewa’s Sanjay Gandhi HospitalDeputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla expresses gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Cabinet has approved two major proposals aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare system and improving the quality of medical education. These decisions will not only enhance medical infrastructure but also ensure better healthcare facilities for the general public.


The Cabinet has approved the construction of a 1,450-bed new teaching hospital building, a 550-bed nursing hostel, a 250-seater mini auditorium, and other external development works at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital (MY Hospital) in Indore, affiliated with the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, at a total cost of ₹773.07 crore. This project will provide state-of-the-art medical facilities to lakhs of residents in Indore and nearby areas, and significantly modernise the structure of medical education.
In Rewa district, the Cabinet approved ₹321.94 crore for the comprehensive upgradation of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, affiliated with Shyam Shah Medical College. The project includes constructing a new OPD building, maternity block, nursing college and hostel, multi-level parking, 171 residential units, a modern kitchen, dormitory, nuclear medicine block, and a bunker for the cancer unit. These developments will ensure improved healthcare services for the people of the Vindhya region and significantly enhance the capacity of Rewa Medical College.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said this decision reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to prioritising public welfare through robust health services. He emphasised that the Madhya Pradesh government is working proactively to realise Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Strong India – Healthy India.” He added that this move is a testimony to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s sensitivity, foresight, and firm resolve toward strengthening the healthcare sector.
