Omar Farooq Ali: A Beacon of Education (Special on Teacher’s Day)Writer Journalist syed Asim Ali

Bhopal. In India, every year on 5th September, Teacher’s Day is celebrated. This day is observed as a tribute to the great philosopher, teacher, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on his birth anniversary. Dr. Radhakrishnan believed that education is not merely a means of livelihood but the greatest path to character building and social reform. On this occasion, today I wish to speak about a teacher who did not limit education to textbooks but turned it into an art of living—my guide and source of inspiration, Omar Farooq Ali Sir.

A Beacon of Education
Omar Farooq Ali, Director of Bal Bhavan School in Shyamla Hills, Bhopal, is a name in the world of education who connected learning with life values, culture, and discipline, giving it a new identity.Just as a lighthouse shows the way to a ship lost in the sea, Umar Farooq Ali Sir has been a guiding light for students and society alike.Under his leadership, Bal Bhavan School has become more than just a place of study—it has turned into a center of values and holistic personality development. Children here are taught that true education is not only about academics but also about responsibility toward society, courage to face difficulties, and the power of positive thinking.
