Bhopal. In the year 2025, Madhya Pradesh Police achieved historic milestones in the fields of law and order, internal security, social responsibility and technological innovation. Under the capable leadership, visionary thinking and strong guidance of Director General of Police Kailash Makwana, the state police not only played an effective role in crime control, but also set an example of citizen-centric, technology-driven and trustworthy policing.

Effective initiatives for the safety of women, children and vulnerable sections
Under Operation Muskan and the special Muskan campaign conducted in 2025, Madhya Pradesh Police safely traced and reunited more than 14,000 missing minor boys and girls with their families across the state. Notably, this campaign extended beyond state boundaries to other states and even to areas near the Nepal–Pakistan border.
Similarly, under the Srijan Campaign, more than 5,000 children were provided self-defence training and integrated into the mainstream, resulting in tangible outcomes in preventing serious social crimes such as child marriage and child abuse.
Strong control over crime
Taking strict action against the manufacture, trafficking and use of illegal weapons, the police seized 2,266 firearms and 4,800 sharp-edged weapons. Inter-state arms trafficking gangs were busted and illegal factories dismantled.

From Naxal eradication to cyber crime control, the police demonstrated a balanced approach of firmness and sensitivity. The safe return of thousands of missing children through Operation Muskan, public movements like “Staying Away from Drugs is Essential”, and digital policing initiatives strengthened public confidence.
Services like Dial-112, cyber helplines and technological innovations enhanced transparency and rapid response. Madhya Pradesh Police proved that when security is combined with dialogue, fear fades and trust is born.
It listens, understands and stands with peopleToday, Madhya Pradesh Police is no longer limited to maintaining law and order alone; it has become a strong bridge of trust between the public and administration. With changing times, the police role has expanded toward dialogue, sensitivity and cooperation.
Through public hearings, police–citizen interaction programs at police stations, Police Chaupals, women and cyber safety campaigns, and social media outreach, the police is directly connecting with citizens. This has increased transparency and accelerated grievance redressal.
Awareness programs, helplines and special assistance desks for women and children have strengthened victims’ confidence. Digital platforms and online complaint systems have made police access easier for people in remote areas. In rural regions, Police Chaupals and youth engagement programs are reinforcing a sense of cooperation and security in society.
Historic success in Naxal eradication
The year 2025 proved historic for Madhya Pradesh in terms of eliminating Naxalism. Through a well-planned strategy, the state was declared completely Naxal-free, resolving a three-decade-old challenge. Decisive action was taken against hardcore Naxalites in affected districts like Balaghat and Mandla.
Several wanted Naxalites were neutralized in encounters, while others surrendered with weapons under the Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy–2023. As recognition, 64 brave police personnel involved in these operations were granted promotions.
Cyber crime and digital security
Through the “Safe Click” initiative, digital awareness and cyber security were strengthened. Citizens were educated about safe online behavior, fake links and apps, digital fraud, the cyber helpline 1930, and the NCRP portal.
Swift action in cyber fraud cases ensured the return of over ₹50 crore to victims. Crackdowns on organized cyber fraud gangs led to freezing of more than ₹250 crore.
Mass movement towards a drug-free society
Under the campaign “Staying Away from Drugs is Essential”, extensive awareness programs were organized across the state. Over 15,000 programs saw direct participation of more than 22 lakh citizens, and an equal number took pledges for a drug-free society. The campaign garnered over 100 million views on social media.
During this period, illegal narcotics worth over ₹193 crore and illicit liquor worth more than ₹55 crore were seized. The STF confiscated thousands of kilograms of ganja, delivering a strong blow to trafficking networks.
Public safety and rapid response services

Technological innovation and administrative reforms
Madhya Pradesh Police implemented digital platforms such as e-HMRS, e-Office and ICJS, making operations transparent, digital and paperless.
